Joggers run routes to spell messages of support for prostate cancer charity

A group of runners decided to add some extra meaning to their January jogs by sending messages of support to Prostate Cancer UK using their route apps. The cancer charity encouraged people to participate in their Run The Month: Marathon Edition in the first month of 2021, the challenge requiring participants to hit 26.2 miles during January. A group on Facebook took the challenge one step further by running routes which would spell certain letters on their route apps, organised by Carl Smith from Manchester. Those letters were then used to spell messages of support such as “Men We Are With You”, “Prostate Cancer UK” and “Run The Month”.

Large camps don’t work Local Conservative politicians were happy to support this Government’s disastrous policy of creating large camps to house asylum seekers. Home Office minister Kit Malthouse and former Immigration Minister Caroline Nokes were strong advocates “until it came to building one in their own back yard in Barton Stacey. Now they scurry to support Council Leader Phil North’s petition which says that inhumane camps are fine “as long as they are put somewhere else”. Large internment camps are not fine here in Hampshire or anywhere else. Cramming hundreds of people together with inadequate facilities, lack of privacy and poor access to health, legal and social support is something we rightly condemn in other parts of the world.
