SUNRISE, Fla. Two FBI agents were killed and three wounded Tuesday after a standoff with a shooter in South Florida that forced people living nearby to huddle inside their homes as shots rang out and SWAT teams stormed an apartment building.
The confrontation in the Fort Lauderdale suburb of Sunrise marked one of the bloodiest days in FBI history in South Florida and among the deadliest nationally as well.
The fallen agents have been identified as Special Agent Daniel Alfin and Special Agent Laura Schwartzenberger.

“We’re hoping now with Moderna coming sometime next week that it will help supplement the Pfizer vaccine and we can make sure that all healthcare workers throughout the entire state, including the rural areas, will get it,” Carlos A. Migoya, president and CEO of Jackson Health System said.
Dr. Sunil Kumar was the first healthcare worker to be vaccinated last week at Broward Health Medical Center. He literally jumped for joy after he received the shot. “Well, obviously I was very excited. Me along with a lot of our healthcare workers, we have been waiting for this moment for a long time,” he said.
SWAT team responds to home in Plantation

PLANTATION, Fla. – A SWAT team responded to a Broward County home on Friday night after an alleged bomb threat just east of Plantation Heritage Park.
Officers said the person who was making the threat near the intersection of Southwest 54th Avenue and Southwest 10th Court appeared to be suicidal.
Once officers were able to control the situation, Plantation Fire Rescue personnel took the injured person to Broward Health Medical Center.

A Florida man was accused of throwing his own baby out of a window and stabbing his girlfriend in the eyes, leaving her blind.
Pierre Gabriel Ludovic Francois, 29, was arrested for three counts of attempted murder and one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, said a report from the Broward Sheriff s Office Saturday.
According to NBC Miami, the incident happened at their home in Northwest 12th Court. His mother first found Francois in a rage.
The report said he began acting like he was mad and punched the walls and doors in the home.
