The abstract yet inviting environment of the newly reopened Masion Margiela flagship boutique in London was developed by Dutch architect Studio Anne Holtrop. Reflecting the visual language of the fashion brand’s iconic Creative Director John Galliano, the boutique interior is inspired by the brand’s gypsum-cast set from their Autumn/Winter 2018 show. The textured gypsum walls and ceilings evoke a hand-spun tactility against which familiar shapes and furnishings that have been abstracted and skewed in form are set.

A total of 190 square meters in floor area, the boutique displays the complete range of Maison Margiela’s Co-Ed collections. This includes men’s and women’s ready to wear, accessories, shoes, small leather goods, jewellery, eyewear and fragrances.
