Colorado Springs City crews have cleared an 18-acre property near Pikes Peak Avenue and south Academy Boulevard of invasive trees so they can put in new wetlands to help slow down stormwater and improve its quality. The area was densely overgrown with invasive tree species before the work and collected large amounts of trash, as depicted in this photo taken before the work was done.
