ST. PAUL, MN
(July 4, 2021) - St. Paul Saints starter Chandler Shepherd was masterful for 5.0 innings on Sunday night at CHS Field. Unfortunately, the bullpen couldn’t hold the lead as the Saints lost 10-6 to the Omaha Storm Chasers in front of the largest crowd of the season, 9,317.
In the first, the Saints struck first as Jose Miranda led off the inning with a walk. Drew Maggi then made Saints history becoming the first player in franchise history (Independent and Triple-A) to homer in four straight games when he clubbed a two-run homer to left, his sixth of the season, to make it 2-0 Saints.
