HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - A statewide flash flood watch has been extended into the day Monday as possible localized downpours could lead to flooding in areas that have been soaked over the past week.
The National Weather Service extended the watch until 6 p.m. Monday.
The threat of widespread heavy rain has diminished. However, there is still enough moisture and lingering instability over the islands that could trigger localized heavy rain, which then could lead to flash flooding.
