DENR EMB calls for cooperation on waste segregation in Marawi

MARAWI CITY, May 9 (PIA) As the city government steps up its efforts for solid waste management, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Environmental Management Bureau called for the cooperation of residents for waste segregation.
DENR-EMB Region 10 focal person Abbas Lao urged the different households in the city to support the government by segregating their garbage for the effective collection and disposal of solid waste.
Lao echoed his call during Friday s episode of Kalilintad Andaka program of DXSO Radyo Pilipinas Marawi. Hinihingi po natin sa mga kababayan natin na magcooperate sila sa program natin kasi one of the very important components of solid waste management is the cooperation of the different household. Yung pagmamanage sa basura natin kung pwede po strictly iimplement nila ang segregation, said Lao.

Saudi Arabia will grant $422 million worth of petroleum products to Yemen s internationally recognised government for power stations and to support public services as the country grapples with a fuel shortage, state news agency SPA said on Tuesday.
It said Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman informed Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi of the grant under the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program in a telephone call.
Saudi Arabia leads a military coalition that intervened in Yemen in 2015 against the Iran-aligned Houthis who ousted Hadi s government from the capital Sanaa and now hold most of northern Yemen. The government is based in the south.
Riyadh, Apr 14 (Prensa Latina) The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) has signed an agreement to supply oil derivatives to operate more than 80 power stations with the Yemeni government.
