Renasant Bank has announced that Cole McCarty has recently been promoted to First Vice President, Financial Data Architect. He is located at Renasant Headquarters in Tupelo.Â

The new tools and dashboards he is creating provide key information to our management team, said Mary Lou Bathen, Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, Senior Vice President. We look forward to watching Cole continue to grow in this role and leadership at the bank. McCarty received a Bachelor s in Accounting degree from The University of Mississippi. He is involved with the Regional Rehab Center as Chairman for the Regional Rehab Golf Tournament, and is a member of the Lee County Salvation Army Board of Directors. Â

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Police say a shot was fired Monday in the parking lot of a bank in Tupelo.
According to the Tupelo Police Department, the incident happened at noon at the Renasant Bank on South Veterans Boulevard.
Police officers detained all individuals involved and reported no injuries.
TUPELO ⢠Tupelo police detained two people after an East Tupelo altercation outside a bank escalated to gunfire, Monday around noon.
Tupelo Police Department spokesman Capt. Chuck McDougald said officers responded to the Renasant Bank branch at 164 South Veterans Boulevard, where a dispute was reported in the parking lot.
During that disturbance, a shot was fired. Both parties were detained and the area was secured. McDougald said there were no injuries reported.
According to the jail docket, a 52-year-old white male was booked into the Lee County Jail Monday afternoon and charged with discharging a weapon inside the city limits, a misdemeanor.
