FM took batting and fielding practice in addition to pitchers loosening up

MOORHEAD, MINN (KVRR) – The Redhawk players returned the FM area for their first practice of the spring over at Concordia’s Buck Bergau Field (NDSU Baseball was playing Newman Outdoor Field), as they gear up for the season that starts on Tuesday at home against the California Dogecoin. Last year, Chris Coste’s squad finished four games under .500 when and six back of first place. But for now, the skipper is just happy to have the gang back in town and help put these guys in a position to move on up.

FARGO The 2021 Fargo Blues Festival is ready to go this summer.
The 26th annual event is set for Friday, July 30, and Saturday, July 31, at Newman Outdoor Field in north Fargo.
Festival organizers announced the lineup Friday morning, May 7, on The Fox 107.9 FM, revealing that Samantha Fish, the Jeremiah Johnson Band, John Mayall and John Primer will be the headliners this year. Other performers include Mississippi Heat, Vella, Twisted Train, Blue Wailers, Rocky Athas, Ally Venable, Miss Myra and the Moonshiners, and the Deb Jenkins Band.
(Fargo, ND) Fargo Blues Festival organizers announced Friday that the annual music event will be back at Newman Outdoor Field for 2021 with the 26th annual two-day blues music event being held on Friday, July 30th and Saturday, July 31st.
This year’s lineup features John Mayall, the legendary “Godfather of British Blues,” as the headliner for Saturday night. For over 50 years, Mayall has served as a pioneer of blues music and was inducted in the Blues Hall of Fame in 2016. This will be the second time John Mayall has performed at the Fargo Blues Fest after he made his first appearance in 2004.

Redhawks’ Frank Duncan Picked Up By Rockies
The right-handed pitcher is the third Redhawk to have his contract bought by an MLB team this year

FARGO, ND – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have sold the contract of right-handed pitcher Frank Duncan to the Colorado Rockies, the club announced Wednesday.
Duncan is the 83rd player in RedHawks history to have his contract purchased by an MLB club and the third in 2021 after Matt Tomshaw and Drew Ward had their contracts purchased by the Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers, respectively. Duncan previously played in the Rockies organization in 2018 with the Double-A Hartford Yard Goats.

Duncan, who signed with the RedHawks on April 13, is entering his eighth season of professional baseball in 2021. He originally signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization in 2014 after he was taken by the Bucs with the 401st overall pick in the 13th Round of the 2014 MLB Amateur Draft out of the University of Kansas. He was previously drafted in the 39th Round by Cleveland in the 2013 MLB Amateur Draft.
