The state says a hardware malfunction at a regional data center is causing the problem for Iowa and several other states. Updates on the state s vaccine dashboard have been delayed and vaccine providers are not able to report new doses they re giving to people. Reynolds’s news conference will come as the state is working on a contingency plan to avoid a prolonged disruption to the process. The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting the hardware malfunction took place at the Mid Atlantic Data Center, which keeps data for the Iowa Immunization Registry Information System (IRIS).
