Collins, who is making his 117th appearance in the New York Times Crossword with a puzzle that is the stuff of legend. I may need a moment to catch my breath, both because the puzzle flew by for me, and because well, you’ll see. I don’t want to dig too deep into the theme up here, but I will say that this is one of the best uses of visual elements I’ve seen in some time. It’s so dramatic! As a solver, I loved the storytelling in this puzzle, and as a constructor, I can only admire the impeccable grid work that went into its creation.
