(Bloomberg) Oil advanced for a third day after the IEA lifted its forecasts for demand and an industry report pointed to another decline in U.S. crude stockpiles.
Futures rose 1.3% in New York and are heading for the longest run of gains in over a month. The International Energy Agency lifted its forecast for oil consumption this year by 230,000 barrels a day amid a stronger outlook for the U.S. and China. It follows an upbeat outlook for demand from OPEC on Tuesday.

Marise Payne has been curiously reticent about confirming
Nick Greinerâs appointment as Australiaâs consul-general in New York. But any mystery surrounding the former NSW premierâs appointment was blown out the window this week, considering Greiner has officially touched down in New York and is even installed at the consul-generalâs residence.

âHave been here 10 days and at Beekman [Place],â Greiner happily told CBD on Thursday morning. Beekman Place is, of course, the address of the consul-generalâs rather enviable home on Manhattanâs East Side with views of the East River and a handful of ambassadors and government-types as neighbours.
