CATONSVILLE, Md. - When the huddle breaks, the players scatter, and the one in the center is finally visible. Darnell Rogers stands only chest-high to his teammates, a full head shorter than his head coach. By now, he s not much of a basketball oddity, though. Opposing players know if they take even a second to gawk, Rogers will buzz by. He ll bounce through the paint like a pinball. And he ll inevitably find the hoop, zipping back on defense before anyone can even process the unusual sight.
