Hopewell food bank

While the Hopewell food bank helps out hundreds of Broad Top area residents each month, the food bank itself is in need of help. Center for Community Action (CCA) employment and training director Chris Gresko told the Bulletin the food bank is in desperate need of volunteer help from the public. Help is not only needed to distribute food items to food bank clients, but also to help unload it the day before distribution. Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and because many of its volunteers are getting older, Gresko said the food bank is in kind of dire straits of its own.
