The snowfall prediction map issued Monday by the National Weather Service in Mount Holly does not include the northeastern region of New Jersey, which is handled by a different forecast office. But that region could get between 12 and 17 inches of snow.National Weather Service

Forecasts for the nor’easter expected to hit New Jersey Wednesday feature two things that could spell power outages for residents around the state: Wet, heavy snow and gusty winds.
For now, meteorologists say it’s more likely any outages will be isolated as opposed to widespread, because the wind is expected more on the coast and the heavy snowfall inland. But if the evolving snowfall estimates call for more snow near the coast, that could spell trouble, said Jonathan O’Brien, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Mount Holly.
