Coming off an Olympic-best time in their semifinal, Carrington and Regal were clear victors in a time of 1:35.785, ahead of Poland and Hungary. The previous world’s best time was 1:37.071 set by an Austrian duo in 2011. That was despite it being Carrington s fourth race of the day at the Sea Forest Waterway in just more than three hours.
