CALGARY - Troy Ryan has been rewarded for his patience. He ll be the head coach of Canada s women s hockey team in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
The 49-year-old from Spryfield, N.S., was named head coach of Canada s world championship teams in 2020 and 2021.
2 men fined for violating public health orders in New Glasgow
Two men have been charged for violating public health orders in New Glasgow on Wednesday. A 47-year-old man from Halifax was fined for travelling outside his municipality and a 35-year-old man was fined for failing to wear a mask in a public space.

Two men have been charged for violating public health orders in New Glasgow on Wednesday.

They say they ticketed a man, 47, from the Halifax area for not staying within his own municipality early Wednesday afternoon.
That violation carries a fine of nearly $700.
Police say they charged another man, 35, for not wearing a mask in a business on East River Rd. later that day.
