Edge Reveals Who Came Up With The âGlasgow Grinâ Spot, Talks Fans Being Back
During a recent interview with
Sports Illustrated, WWE Hall of Famer Edge commented on the return of live events and fans, his matches with Randy Orton when he first made his return to the ring, and more. You can check out some highlights from the interview below:
On his matches with Randy Orton after returning to the ring: âAfter not wrestling for nearly nine years, my first two matches were something like 36 minutes and 44 minutes. Maybe that was biting off a little more than I could chew. My body responded by saying, âHey dumbass, what are you doing?â There was a lot of pressure with that match. You need an audience in a big arena for a match like that, which we obviously didnât have. We were the guinea pigs for piped-in sound, and that was another hurdle. Looking back, especially considering the circumstances, I am very proud of that match.â
