An inquiry has been launched into a new state school which allowed students to make anti-police posters that called officers pigs .
Students in Years 5 and 6 at Lindfield Learning Village on Sydney s north shore made placards with the words stop killer cops and pigs out of the country , slogans which have featured in the Black Lives Matter movement in the US.
Other alarming posters read: white lives matter too much and you can t silence the speechless .

A group of asylum seekers brought to Australia for medical care are being shunted around the country without any explanation from the federal government, supporters say.
A group of 17 men who spent more than a year in detention at a Brisbane hotel were abruptly moved on Friday to an immigration centre.
Supporters say they were then taken to the Brisbane Immigration Transit Accommodation but before dawn on Monday were bussed to the airport and flown to Melbourne.

The legal profession has responded to Christian Porter’s denial of rape allegations, with some calling for an independent inquiry and others cautioning that the message of his press conference is that he “gets to say he’s innocent” and that’s the end of it.
Appearing tearfully before a gallery of Perth journalists, the federal Attorney-General strongly and repeatedly denied allegations that he raped a woman 33 years ago after a debating competition. He implored those watching to “imagine for a second that it’s not true” and blamed the media with claims that they never approached him before print.

After being held for years on islands in the Pacific and then in detention centres in Australia, a group of around 50 asylum seekers and refugees are now celebrating their freedom.
They ve been released from detention centres here into the community after fleeing their countries by boat and being taken to offshore detention in Papua New Guinea and Nauru.
Refugee advocates are hoping for more releases in the coming weeks.

The RAC expects another 45 asylum seekers will be released later this week, leaving about 175 still in detention.
Those released on Tuesday will be provided with three weeks accommodation, like those released on Monday.
The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre has previously warned those being freed were in precarious situations and need government support while they sought work to support themselves on the bridging visas.
