BEAVER CREEK With wildlife closures expiring for the season Thursday, Beaver Creek began work on the ski area’s expansion of lift-served terrain in the area of the resort known as McCoy Park.
Beaver Creek Chief Operating Officer Nadia Guerriero said the earliest of the crews got to work during the 4 a.m. hour, as time is of the essence on the project.
“We’re putting in two quad lifts, 17 new trails, building a warming hut, building compostable toilets, a pit toilet down at the bottom of the chairlift for employees, so there’s a lot to do,” Guerriero said. “We’ve been spending a ton of time planning and getting everything situated and ready to go, so we were ready to hit the ground running this morning.”

DENVER, June 10, 2021 The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) and the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) have announced 16 regional teams, representing 169 rural communities, as participants in the Colorado Rural Resiliency and Recovery Roadmap program.
In addition to a price reduction for the upcoming season, Vail Resorts is offering incentives to individuals who purchase their passes by Memorial Day. Skiers and riders who lock up an eligible pass by May 31 will receive 10 buddy tickets, which offer discounted lift ticket rates to family and friends, and can secure their pass for a down payment of $49.
According to Vail Resorts, the discount to season passes is part of the company’s effort to deliver on its Epic for Everyone commitment to broaden engagement in the sports of skiing and snowboarding. A news release states that the price reset for 2021 takes Epic Pass products back to prices last seen during the 2015-16 season.
