DARLINGTON With their worldwide club folding, a community-minded group of Darlington area women decided to forge ahead with their own group.
So wave hello to the Little Beaver Helping Hands, which since 1984 had been known as the Little Beaver Lioness Club. We will continue to service the local communities, former Lioness Club member-turned-Little Beaver Helping Hands spokeswoman Benoit Walton said recently. Our fundraising projects include selling our famous strawberry shortcakes at Darlington Days, the Darlington Polo concession stand, Boscov s Friends Helping Friends, Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Santa Breakfast Workshop cookie sale, Letters for Santa, the Lioness cookbook, Night at the Races and soup sales.
