Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman on Thursday rejected the notion that the establishment was neutral, saying there was no evidence to suggest so. There is no evidence of the establishment being neutral, Fazl told media persons in Peshawar today. We are firm on our stance regarding the 2018 general elections, he added.
Two days ago, during a meeting with the Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief, Pakistan People s Party (PPP) leader and PDM s nominee for Senate s chairmanship, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that the establishment was neutral on this matter.

Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Matsuda Kuninori has expressed his deep appreciation for Prime Minister Imran Khan’s initiative of adopting the Japanese Miyawaki planting technique in the country’s urban localities to fight environmental pollution.
The ambassador, while lauding the PM Khan’s vision for Green Pakistan, in a statement on Tuesday, said he “highly values this very fruitful initiative by the Pakistani PM of using Japanese style Miyawaki technique, which is unique and was pioneered by Dr. Miyawaki Akira,” a Japanese botanist and expert in plant ecology who advocated the value of natural forests.
The election appellate tribunal court of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday dismissed an appeal by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PML-N) former information minister Pervaiz Rashid against the rejection of his nomination papers for Senate elections by the Returning Officer.
