Arizona officials advise water safety during Fourth of July weekend View Comments As Arizonans head to pools and lakes to cool off during the Fourth of July weekend, officials are advising the community to practice safety precautions in and around water. Authorities with the Phoenix Fire Department and with the Arizona Game and Fish Department each offered two important tips to safely enjoy the holiday: environmental awareness and designating at least one adult to remain sober.  “We’re all going to get together and have barbeques around the pool,” said David Ramirez with the Phoenix Fire Department. “We want everybody to enjoy the Fourth but do it responsibly.”
