They re the furry grey nomads that set off fire alarms, once confused Sydney Olympic Games forecasters and sat in Federal Parliament s Senate chamber on the way to their October resting place.
Bogong moths (
Agrotis infusa) travel long distances from their breeding place as caterpillars in the Western Plains of NSW and Southern Queensland up into the Australian Alps.
