Australia enjoys recovery like no other
The Australian economy has enjoyed its strongest performance in history over the past six months as it recovers from last year’s recession.
Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said the December quarter national accounts confirmed that a strong, broad-based recovery was under way.
The economy grew by 3.1 per cent in the final three months of 2020, much stronger than 2.5 per cent expected by economists, and followed an upwardly revised 3.4 per cent in the September quarter.
“This is a very encouraging performance from the Australian economy, given the economic abyss that we were staring into at the peak of this crisis,” Mr Frydenberg told reporters in Canberra on Wednesday.

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. - Tyrell Brewer posted a three-hit day, while Houston Parker had RBI in both contests to highlight Charleston Southern’s opening day doubleheader losses to Boston College. The Bucs fell in the opener to BC, 12-4, before dropping the nightcap, 12-1.

CSU (0-2) and BC (2-0) will close out the weekend series tomorrow morning at Shipyard Park with first pitch set to start at 11 a.m.

The decision comes after Tennessee fired Jeremy Pruitt for cause on Jan. 18 amid an investigation into alleged recruiting violations. Tennessee lost seven of its last eight games to finish the 2020 season with a 3-7 record. In total, Pruitt finished his three-year tenure with a 16-19 (10-16 SEC) mark. Tennessee’s last 10-win season came with Phillip Fulmer as head coach in 2007, which was the last year the Vols won the SEC East.

Vast rock formations the size of multi-story buildings loom above Ho Minh Phuc, as he picks a path through the gloom inside the world s largest cave.
Phuc, who once earned a living through illegal logging, is a porter for the small tour groups that explore Vietnam s Son Doong - a cave so large it has its own ecosystem and weather patterns.
Home to flying foxes and a 70-meter rock formation resembling a dog s paw, the cave is an otherworldly wonder that has reshaped the lives of the surrounding community since it opened for boutique tourism in 2013.
