Moving from a country where access to any type of decent medical care is determined by the size of your bank account or your ability to pay for a private health insurance policy, to one where medical care is provided by the Government and has been a part of that country s history of caring since around 1495, was a very pleasant surprise. The history and cultural heritage of the British people attending to and taking care of the poor, sick, insane and destitute goes back in time as far as society has been inappropriately classifying and labelling people as such. The one common and unfortunate thread through all this evolution of caring is that there has never seemed to be enough room at the inn for those who need long-term physical or mental health care and treatment.

The opportunists are out in full force after the announcement the beloved Kiwi snack Pods is being discontinued.
The announcement was made last month by manufacturer Mars New Zealand.
An online search reveals Pods are no longer available on Countdown s website, as well as New World and The Warehouse.

Fans of discontinued Pods can find the confectionery on Trade Me. The online auction site may be the only place for Pods fans to get their hands on the treat. Pods are no longer available online at Countdown, Pak ‘n Save or New World. In late April Mars New Zealand, the makers of Pods, confirmed it would discontinue Pods. In a statement to TVNZ, Mars New Zealand general manager Peter Simmons said the company regularly reviewed its product offerings on a country-by-country basis. “Due to changes in our manufacturing capability, we’ve made the difficult decision to discontinue Pods in New Zealand,” he said.

More than 2,600 people have signed an online petition calling on Mars New Zealand to bring back Pods, after the company announced the beloved Kiwi treat would be disappearing off the shelves.
The beloved Kiwi snack that s been a go-to treat for many a road trip and movie night is being discontinued, according to manufacturer Mars New Zealand.
