The Government has commissioned a probe into David Cameronâs attempt to lobby ministers on behalf of Greensill Capital.Â
The independent investigation will be carried out by Slaughter & May partner Nigel Boardman, who is also a non-executive board member of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the Chair of the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.
A Number 10 spokesman said: The independent review will look at issues of supply chain finance and the role Greensill played in that. It will also look at the way contracts were secured and how business representatives were engaged with Government.
