OHIO Ohio will have a muggy, thundery, summer in 2021, according to a new forecast from the Farmers Almanac. Summer should be stormy, with a greater-than-average frequency of thunderstorms for a large portion of the country. Many of these storms will be strong, particularly over the eastern third of the nation, the publication said. The first day of summer is June 20. Northern Ohio has already experienced a hotter-than-usual start to spring, with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s this week. Soaring temperatures are expected to continue into the summer for Ohio and other Great Lakes states.
