South Holland and Fleet Parish councillor Peter Coupland says that the Lowgate junction with the A17 creates traffic problems and is calling for action to be taken. South Holland District Council s plan to fill £1 52m budget gap

Published: 15:20, 17 January 2021 South Holland District Council has put together a financial plan to counteract the impact of the pandemic, after being left with a £1.52million budget gap. Councillors met virtually on Tuesday for a briefing on plans to close the budget gap, with a six fold plan of initial options, including not filling vacancies in the planning and shared management department. Speaking during the cabinet meeting, Coun Peter Coupland, deputy leader and portfolio holder for finance, strategy and partnership, set out the plan of initial options, which have been detailed in the draft budget for 2021/22, and would mean a revised gap of £761,000.
