(WLBT) - The Mississippi Braves will stay in Pearl for the foreseeable future. A new agreement with Major League Baseball will keep the M-Braves as the Double-A affiliate for Atlanta for the next 10 years. “We are honored to continue as the Atlanta Braves Double-A franchise right here in central Mississippi,” said Pete Laven, vice president, and general manager of the Mississippi Braves. “Our new agreement with Major League Baseball will further establish the M-Braves as a main ingredient in the development of future big-league talent. Most importantly, the great fans at Trustmark Park will be the beneficiary for years to come.”

(WLBT) - The Mississippi Braves are staying put in Pearl for the foreseeable future. The Atlanta Braves announced four teams they’ve invited to be part of their minor league structure for 2021 and beyond, including the Mississippi Braves. The M-Braves have lived at Trustmark Park since 2005 and have hosted over 3 million fans since. “On behalf of the M-Braves, we are honored to be invited to continue as the Atlanta Braves Double-A franchise,” said Mississippi Braves Vice President and General Manager Pete Laven. “Since 2005, fans in central Mississippi have witnessed future major league talent on the diamond at Trustmark Park and we look forward to featuring the stars of tomorrow here in Pearl for years to come.”
