The Voice season 20 and after Tuesday, only the Top 9 will remain!
On Monday, each of the Top 17 artists took the stage for a brand new performance, in the hopes of continuing on to next week s show. Coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas are able to offer critiques during the live shows, but the first round of voting is up to the fans.
On Tuesday, viewer votes determined the top performer from each team, and the coaches each had a save to use on one of their remaining artists.
The top 9 contestants on The Voice have been revealed.
Tuesday s results show marked the biggest elimination so far, with the field of 17 cut nearly in half after the contestants gave it their all Monday night with their first live performances of the season. It’s tough for me too because I’ve been them literally, said Kelly Clarkson, who won the inaugural season of American Idol in 2002. The Voice is only two week away from crowning the Season 20 winner, and coach Clarkson has a slight advantage with three singers in the Top 9. The other coaches – Blake Shelton, John Legend and Nick Jonas – each have two singers on their teams.

The Voice kicked off the first live shows of season 20 on Monday, as each of the the Top 17 artists performed a brand new song, in the hopes of making it through to the next round.
The live shows also mean coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas are done sending artists home viewer voting will determine which of the Top 17 will get to move on to the Top 9 and then to the finals, to compete for the season 20 crown.

Kelly Clarkson gained a slight edge Tuesday on The Voice as her singer Corey Ward won the Wild Card Instant Save to join the top nine.
The 39-year-old pop star will have three singers performing live next week while fellow coaches Blake Shelton, 44, John Legend, 42, and Nick Jonas, 28, each only have two singers remaining on their teams.
Corey, 34, faced off against Blake s singer Pete Mroz, John s contestant Ryleigh Modig, and Nick s performer Jose Figueroa Jr during the Wild Card Instant Save with viewer voting determining the winner.
