Gretchen Whitmer are hit with additional charges of conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction to blow up a bridge Adam Fox, 40, Barry Croft Jr, 45, and Daniel Harris, 23, were charged with conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction against persons or property They were arrested in October and accused of plotting to kidnap Michigan Gov Gretchen Whitmer  and threatening to blow up a bridge  Prosecutors said the men, who face up to life in prison if convicted, were part of a plot by a right-wing militia extremist group known as the Wolverine Watchmen

Court officials confirmed District Judge Michael Stepka s order granting Michael Null and William Null – both 39 – more flexibility to work, meet with their attorneys and see other family members as they await court hearings. If convicted, the men could serve sentences of more than 20 years in prison. Defense attorneys had argued the men, who work construction jobs, did not pose a threat to the community, nor was there a risk that they would try to flee the state before facing a trial.

Null brothers have motions denied to remove tethers

Two conditions, however, were lifted, including house arrest and curfew. Last week, the decision was made to adjourn the preliminary exams in the cases against Michael Null, William Null, Eric Molitor and Shawn Fix due to increased cases of COVID-19. No new date was set and won t be set until COVID-19 cases go down. This was the fourth time the four men had their prelims in district court adjourned. The last time was in February. Following their arraignment last October, the four men originally were scheduled to have their prelims on Oct. 28 and then on Dec. 16 before February s action in the 86th District Court courtroom.
