Houston-area representatives mostly followed party lines when voting on a standalone bill seeking to increase $600 stimulus checks for individuals to $2,000.
Sen. John Cornyn voted in favor of the $600 stimulus check amount but has been tight-lipped on how he d vote for an increase to $2,000. Sen. Ted Cruz, who voted against the $600 payments and the rest of the latest stimulus bill, has also not indicated how he d vote.
