ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) More than 100 mourners attended a funeral service Wednesday morning for Steven Amenhauser, the man who died from his injuries after being set on fire. Two teens have been charged with his murder.
Steven Amenhauser did not have any close family here in the city, but the community came out to ensure he had a proper funeral and burial.
Holy Apostles Church in Rochester was filled to capacity as people from all walks of life, came to say goodbye to Steven Amenhauser. Many more watched a live stream of the funeral service online. Fr. Anthony Mugavero presided over the Mass of Christian Burial describing Amenhauser as a kind, gentle, and soft-spoken member of the community.
