The showcase of more than two dozen vendors selling food, clothes, jewelry and more is free and open to the public.

Spotlighting the passion projects of Hawai‘i’s Filipino-Americans, Pusong Filipinx: The Market happens Aug. 8 at Bishop Museum. The lineup of more than 20 vendors features clothing, jewelry, crafts and of course, food! Admission is free and 10% of proceeds benefit AAPI and Filipino nonprofits.
Pusong Filipinx launched in 2019, went on hiatus last year and returned in June with over a thousand attendees. It’s the creation of Lalaine Ignao and her boyfriend Eric Ganding, millennials who wanted to cultivate a community of peers. The name was inspired by the words on a shirt that Ignao’s grandfather used to wear “Pusong Pinoy,” heart of the Filipino.
