Surf, superfruits and Salisbury: The Abby Taylor story
Abby Taylor grew up chasing the waves of New Jersey beaches, only to be followed by scenic surfing trips to Nicaragua, Panama, California, Hawaii and Costa Rica, each adding unique flavors to her pursuit of a coastal and healthy lifestyle.
As Taylor became immersed in the cultures and tastes of locals alongside fellow surfer and New Jersey native Rob Giuliani, inspiration soon struck.
After returning to their hometown of Belmar, New Jersey, the pair set up a makeshift stand on the sidewalk in front of a local pizza shop with a blender, patio table, fridge and freezer.

Ahead of Covid-19 vaccine eligibility in Massachusetts opening to all residents 16 years and older on Monday, a number of Harvard students have secured their doses in alternative ways, from qualifying for an earlier phase to getting their hands on a leftover dose.
Harvard, in line with other Boston-area colleges, has not yet administered any vaccines to students. Consistent with its statements throughout the semester, Harvard University Health Services said in its latest email update Friday that it has “received a very limited supply of vaccine” with no expectation of additional doses from the state in the near future.
HUHS directed students to pre-register as eligibility expands Monday and “seek all other available sources” for receiving their vaccines.

A franchise of the New Jersey-based Playa Bowls chain will open this summer at the old Wardecker’s building at 32 N. Hanover St.
Owner Brooke Butler said she was inspired to bring the concept to the college town after discovering Playa Bowls in Stone Harbor, New Jersey where her family owns a home.
