The annual Esri Young Scholars Award provides an opportunity for local university students to conduct research in their chosen topics using the geographic information system (GlS). The champion can participate for free in the Esri User Conference held in the United States in July to exchange knowledge and experiences with more than 10,000 GIS experts around the world. The champion, first runner-up and second runner-up will also win an internship for working at the Urban Renewal Authority, same as previous years. DAVID MICHAEL NYIKA, 51, of Windbury Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to drink driving. Disqualified for 18 months and fined £692. Ordered to pay £69 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. MICHAEL JOSEPH HOLLIDAY, 30, of Oakley Place, Weymouth. Pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving and possession of a class B drug. Community order made until March next year to include six months of drug treatment and 15 rehabilitation activity days. Fined £438 and disqualified for 18 months. Ordered to pay £95 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
