Nancy Sinatra’s catalogue has long been deserving of the bells-and-whistles treatment and it finally comes to pass with a series of expansive reissues from Light In The Attic. Tied to Sinatra’s 80th birthday last year, it includes a limited re-pressing of her glorious Some Velvet Morning single, expanded reissues of a handful of albums, chiefly Boots, Nancy And Lee and Nancy And Lee Again, along with this compilation. Across a cherry-picked selection of 23 tracks, you are reminded of just how electric this 10-year period was for Sinatra, transforming her from diminutive daughter of Frank to a bona fide pop star in her own right. Gone were the mousy brown hair and sensible outfits, and in their place a bright blonde beehive, mini-dresses and, of course, boots.
