Former inmate at Perth Prison faces return to jail for punch on guard

© Kris Miller Perth Prison. A former inmate who punched a prison guard has been warned he faces a return to jail. Wayne Martin, 24, was serving a two-year stint at HMP Perth when he attacked Steven Alston on February 6 2020. The thug had been jailed at Dundee Sheriff Court for trying to rob a 17-year-old girl and a 66-year-old man in Arbroath in 2019. Martin, who was released in April 2020, has now been warned that he is facing another term behind bars after he admitted attacking Mr Alston. The same court was told how Martin became enraged after he was placed on an order preventing him from leaving his cell.

Gregor Tyler admitted having indecent images at Dundee Sheriff Court

Gregor Tyler, who formerly worked as a driver for a care home, initially denied all knowledge of a laptop which contained the vile images. The discovery was made after an early-morning raid on the home he shared with his partner in Kellas. In response to being questioned about whether he was attracted to children, Tyler said: “You’re labelling it different.” Sentence has now been deferred for reports after Tyler, 67, admitted at Dundee Sheriff Court to downloading indecent images between June 2013 and May 2018.

Christopher McGregor of Dundee admitted at court to stalking a woman

Updated: February 2, 2021, 2:53 pm © Kris Miller Dundee Sheriff Court. A man was taken into custody after his former partner caught him filming her as she picked her children up from school. Christopher McGregor admitted following the woman as well as photographing and filming her on Friday. The 30-year-old was subject to two bail orders when he committed the offence. Dundee Sheriff Court was told the woman had seen McGregor, of Dunholm Road, in the Liff Road area at 2.50pm but was not concerned as he lived locally. However, her attitude changed after seeing McGregor on Dickson Avenue a short time later.

The 50-year-old lashed out at seven police officers who then went to arrest him at his own house. In another incident at his parents’ home last November, Wiley had to be subdued by incapacitant spray after viciously assaulting a female police officer.

James Hutchison made the drunken threats out of what Forfar sheriff court was told was “frustration” that lifelong restrictions on him might not be relaxed after police were asked to investigate claims around him meeting a 15-year-old boy. In a series of angry texts and voicemails, the 67-year-old told his supervising officer: “You better steer clear of me now. I’ll do you in ya cow.”
