In the not-too-distant wake of our report on American muscle trucks, Stellantis the company formerly known as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announces a limited run of factory-modified 2021 Ram 1500 pickups that s scheduled to land in select Ram dealerships this summer.
The Mopar 2021 Ram 1500 Special Edition, does pack a 5.7L Hemi engine between its front fenders, but, unlike bonafide big-horsepower predecessors like the 2006 SRT-10 and the all-new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, the SE s powerplant is stone-bone stock, and as such only makes 395hp and 410 lb-ft of torque.
With the $8,500 Special Edition option, Mopar is basically taking a combination of 250 crew-cab 2021 Ram 1500 Big Horn/Lone Star pickups and adding side steps, tow hooks, adjustable tie downs, a spray-in bedliner, body-color tonneau cover, all-weather floor mats, and hardware for installing exterior/interior trailer cameras.

As you might expect, this one is loaded with Mopar accessories.
The Ram 1500 is a great pickup. It s officially the safest pickup truck in America, and with there being a new, more fuel-efficient offering available, it s a very attractive proposition. But something that Stellantis has noticed is that people are big fans of special editions. The Built To Serve range has proven popular, but now that the final installment of these has been released, it s time for Ram to release a new version. Meet the Mopar 21 Ram 1500 Special Edition. No, that s not a catchy name, but don t worry - what it lacks in nomenclature is overcompensated for in equipment.
