The Oklahoma City Philharmonic is Under Pressure to Rock You this weekend, so bring Somebody to Love to its shows featuring songs by the iconic group Queen. The OKC Phil presentation of “Windborne Music’s The Music of Queen” just added a 2 p.m. Saturday matinee along with its 8 p.m. shows Friday and Saturday at the Civic Center Music Hall. The show features vocalist Brody Dolynik and guest conductor Brent Havens. If you can’t make the socially distanced show live, purchase the Digital Stream for viewing through April 18. On this installment of ST, we learn about a show that recently opened at Philbrook Museum of Art here in Tulsa. From the Limitations of Now will be on view through September 5th. It s an exhibit that, as noted at the Philbrook website, offers work by artists based locally as well as nationally in order to reflect the important ways art and literature allow us to examine America s past and picture a future in which, in the words of renowned Oklahoma author Ralph Ellison, we are able to free ourselves from the limitations of today.
