If you’re considering a trip to Oklahoma, booking an Airbnb in Tulsa may be your best course of action.
Often referred to as the “Oil Capital of the World”, Tulsa is home to the iconic Philbrook Museum of Art, remnants of the Historic Route 66, and world-class restaurants where, among other things, you can experience the majesty that is Oklahoma’s distinct barbecue.
The city’s lucrative economic history has resulted in some incredible architecture and a booming tourism sector, so you can expect to find a plethora of amazing rentals here.
Two Tulsa-based organizations - Chamber Music Tulsa and the Philbrook Museum of Art - are receiving NEA grants to fund projects marking the upcoming centennial of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.
Sonny and Luna
Sonny (left) and Luna are 2-year-old siblings, and the woman who turned them over to us says they are very bonded and must be adopted together. When it comes to size, they are totally different. Luna is a brown patch tabby who weighs only 7 pounds and she’s very thin. She previously had kittens but was spayed on 12/22 by Feline Specialties. Sonny is a dark brown tabby and white male and he weighs 13.8 pounds and is very handsome. Luna is very active and loves to climb. Sonny initially was more laidback but now he’s out and about and loves to play. They are both friendly and love to be petted and get along with other kitties.
Learning about OKPOP convinced Pamela Amburgy she wanted to be a part of it.
âWhen I heard the story of OKPOP, I was blown away,â said Amburgy, the recently appointed executive director of the OKPOP Foundation, 501(c)(3) organized to support the activities of the Oklahoma Museum of Popular Culture, known as OKPOP, under construction at 422 N. Main St.
Amburgyâs background is in banking and nonprofits, including stints as the assistant director of development for Philbrook Museum of Art and as a loaned executive and later the director of planned giving for the Tulsa Area United Way.
She has also been an OKPOP board member.
