An interactive experience with Google Arts & Culture, Plastic Air allows visitors to click on airborne plastic particles to find out their chemical composition and where they might have come from.

Pentagram partner and data visualisation master Giorgia Lupi has worked with Google Arts & Culture on a beautiful yet alarming new project about airborne microplastics, titled Plastic Air. Visitors to the interactive digital experience are shown a sea of multicoloured shapes floating across the screen, which they can select to reveal their chemical composition and what household items they might have come from. For example, hover over a little orange triangle and you’ll find out it’s polystyrene and probably came from plastic cutlery; or a little squiggle of thread, made from polyester and likely to be from an old sweater. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - When he launched his campaign to become Floridaâs governor in January 2018, few expected Ron DeSantis to prevail in Americaâs toughest political battleground.
The 39-year-old congressman was largely unknown outside his Daytona Beach district. He didnât have the professional staff or fundraising prowess typically required to compete in such a large state. And he was going up against a more established rival for the Republican nomination.
But at his side, DeSantis had a key ally with strong connections in state politics and the respect of the White House: Matt Gaetz, the Florida congressman now embroiled in a federal sex trafficking investigation. Gaetz appeared at campaign events alongside DeSantis, played his Democratic rival Andrew Gillum in mock debate preparations and encouraged then-President Donald Trump to back DeSantis for governor.

PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) The Ouabache Land Conservancy is inviting nature enthusiasts to a spring wildflower hike of the Atherton Island Natural Area near Lyford in Parke County Saturday at 1 p.m., Phil Cox, Ouabache Land Conservancy Vice President of Programs, announced.
The hike will be led by University of Illinois Research Scientist Dr. James Nardi. The terrain is moderate to sometimes rugged, therefore appropriate hiking apparel is recommended.
