2020 was a challenging year across the globe, with Covid-19 impacting innumerable economies, industries, livelihoods and lives.
Pennant was certainly not immune to the pandemic s effects and in the Group s Interim Results statement published last September, I reported that the first half of the year had been challenging, with Covid-19 having a significant impact on revenues across the Group which resulted in an underlying EBITA loss of
£2.0m for the period.
However, I am pleased to report that, as anticipated, the Group s performance materially improved in the second half, to produce an underlying EBITA profit of
£1.0m for the six months ended

The Baltimore Ravens’ passing attack has been a lightning rod for controversy and criticism after their record-breaking offense from 2019 came back down to earth a bit in 2020.
Arguably the most underrated reason for the regression in both production and efficiency last season was the departure of Hayden Hurst via trade last offseason and the failure to effectively replace him, which drastically impacted their ability to operate out of 13 personnel.
In 2019, their ability to be both dominant and unpredictable with three tight end sets and two dangerous pass-catching threats at the position in Hurst and Pro Bowler Mark Andrews was integral in their success through the air during Lamar Jackson’s unanimous MVP winning campaign.
In 2019, Mutz pushed for the city to set aside $250,000 for affordable housing initiatives in fiscal year 2020 with a promise to create 500 units. If $750,000 is approved for fiscal year 2022, the city s support will have tripled over three years.
Developer Green Mills Group purchased the 1.8-acre site from Lakeland Community Redevelopment Group for $324,000 in November 2019. Green Mills also received a $162,000 loan with 0% interest and two-year grace period before the 15-year repayment period starts, for a total of 17 years.
Commissioner Chad McLeod expressed concerns about ensuring that future affordable housing projects make good use of the taxpayers money. I think the initiatives we have pursued as a city and the partnerships that we ve seen have been innovative and a good use of those dollars, McLeod said. I want to see that continue.

Jennifer Canady remains cash leader in HD 40 race
Lakeland Republican
Jennifer Canady has added onto an already sizable war chest for an open House seat. While her March donations were a fraction of her
headline-making initial report, she continued to outraise all competitors.
Canady, who
announced in February she wanted to succeed Rep.
Colleen Burton, pulled in $8,995 in new donations for March. That brings her grand total in donations to $95,760 in just two months, and she’s sitting on $89,125 in cash on hand.
By comparison, Lakeland City Commissioner
Phillip Walker, who
jumped into the race in January, posted a solid March with $7,980 in new donations and has raised $25,950 in total. He has spent little of that so far and still has $25,394 in the bank.
