VfB Stuttgart left-back Borna Sosa has told bundesliga.com there is a possibility that he could represent Germany at UEFA Euro 2020 this summer.
Sosa has been one of the breakout stars of the 2020/21 Bundesliga campaign, his nine assists meaning he has laid on more goals than any other defender in the German top flight.
The 23-year-old Zagreb native has turned out for Croatia 56 times up until U21 level, but he could qualify for
Die Mannschaft through his mother Vesna, who was born in Berlin. We can confirm that Borna Sosa has accepted German citizenship, VfB Stuttgart told Sky Sports.

Stuttgart, April 20 : Three players from VfB Stuttgart have gone into quarantine as potential contacts in chains of coronavirus infections, the Bundesliga club said on Tuesday.
Defender Marcin Kaminski entered a two-week isolation after a positive coronavirus case at his child s nursery while injured pair Nicolas Gonzalez and Lilian Egloff are taking preventive measures after a case in the rehabilitation group, DPA reported. Our players tested negative, Stuttgart coach Pellegrino Matarazzo said before the home match with Wolfsburg on Wednesday. That has no effect on us.

Sasa Kalajdzic had the first big chance of the game in the ninth minute when he only had Koen Casteels to beat, but Stuttgart s giant centre-forward placed his shot too close to the last line of the Wolfsburg defence. Wolfsburg were more ruthless with their first opportunity, which Xaver Schlager struck in from distance after the ball fell invitingly for him just outside the Stuttgart penalty area. Philipp Förster had the chance to bring the hosts level when John Brooks handled inside his own penalty area, but his spot-kick was saved by Casteels. Weghorst then doubled the guests advantage with a diving header from Josip Brekalo s cross, giving the clinical visitors a cushion at the break.
