The webinar was hosted by Angela Grimes, Born Free USA CEO, and featured Dr. Liz Tyson, Born Free USA Programs Director, who spoke about trapping in the United States; Newton Simiyu, Research Officer at Born Free Kenya, who spoke about Born Free’s work to combat illegal snaring and the associated bushmeat trade in Kenya; and Lesley Fox, Executive Director of the Association for the Protection of Fur-Bearing Animals, who discussed the association’s efforts to end trapping in Canada.

Kids Can Save Animals: Interview with Born Free USA s Dr Liz Tyson

in Primate Sanctuary on May 10, 2021 Born Free USA is delighted to be part of the new Club 15 initiative, led by Kate Gilman Williams. Kate is 11 years old and has already established herself as an effective and inspirational animal advocate. Via her organization, Kids Can Save Animals, she teaches that there is no age limit to advocacy and that we can all play a role in making the world a better place. As part of her new Club 15 project, which highlights work being carried out around the globe for animals, as well as sharing ways in which young people can get involved in these efforts, Kate visited the Born Free USA Primate Sanctuary to learn about our work to protect primates from harm.
