Ranchi/Bokaro: While the state government has allowed the reopening of schools for Classes VIII, IX and XI from Monday, many private institutes remained closed as teachers and students are busy with online examinations and the difficulty in implementing on-campus Covid-19 safety rules. In Ranchi, management of schools like DPS (Ranchi), JVM Shyamli, Seventh Day Adventist and Oxford Public School will resume in-person classes from the next session in April.
DPS principal Dr Ram Singh said it was not possible to call students to campus as they are busy taking their annual exams online. “We will call them for the new session starting in April. We have enough space to ensure social distancing as lower classes have not been allowed to reopen. We also have adequate manpower to maintain other safety norms.”
