The PE faculty at Wade Deacon High School has scored a top result. The Birchfield Road school is now officially ranked 14th out of all UK schools for sport. A spokesman said: This is an amazing achievement by staff and students and places Wade Deacon in the top 1.5 per cent of all schools in the UK. And with 16 of the top 20 schools coming from the independent sector, this latest ranking actually puts Wade Deacon 3rd of all state schools nationally. Leader of PE at Wade Deacon, Matthew Campbell, was naturally thrilled with the latest rankings telling The World: I am so privileged to lead such an amazing team of dedicated and hardworking teachers who are so committed to giving the best opportunities to our students.
