2:32 p.m.: The family of a previous Avery Township resident called to report that the neighbor has been trespassing on the property. Caller was advised to post no trespassing signs and cameras.
3:57 p.m.: Multiple scams came into the department today; every scam is different. This is just to reinforce that you should never give your information to anyone on the phone. Montmorency County Sheriff’s Department Dispatch receives several new scams being reported weekly.
Feb. 18
10:50 a.m.: A deputy responded to a residential burglar alarm in Vienna Township, everything was found to be as it should be, officer cleared without incident.
Feb. 1st
7:09 p.m.: An officer was requested for a vehicle in the ditch on Kellyville Rd in Briley Township. No one was injured. A 65-year-old male from Atlanta was arrested for driving without a license and no security.
Feb. 2
8:36 p.m.: An officer was requested for a vehicle in the ditch on Jesse Rd in Hillman Township. No one was injured. A 44-year-old female was arrested on OWI charges.
Feb. 3
Multiple deer vehicles were called into dispatch this morning; deputies responded to the scenes and took the information for reports.
11:11 a.m.: A resident of Briley Township called to seek answers on how to deal with his neighbor who has loud vehicles and is driving recklessly around the neighborhood, an officer was advised and will patrol the area more frequently.
Jan. 11
12:47p.m.: A welfare check was requested; contact was made with the subject, everything was fine.
1:32 p.m.: While on routine patrol a MCSO deputy initiated a traffic stop in Albert Township, the driver was found to be driving on a suspended license. He was lodged.
4:42 p.m.: On a routine patrol, a deputy with MCSO initiated a traffic stop in Albert Township, the driver was found to be driving without insurance and on a suspended license. Subject was lodged.
7:45 p.m.: Hillman Fire & EMS responded to a one vehicle rollover on M-32 in Alpena County. No one was injured.
