Virtual accelerator program looking for Hampton Roads tech startups Trevor Metcalfe, The Virginian-Pilot A Richmond software development and consulting firm wants Hampton Roads startups to participate in a new accelerator program. Covintus has pledged $1 million in support for the 10-week, technology-focused, virtual accelerator program it calls the Covintus Tech Tank, which begins in June. “Goal-driven tech startup founders want a high-caliber accelerator that teaches them to be savvy about software and technology needs, and that’s exactly what Covintus is providing,” said Brian Flood, Covintus co-founder and Tech Tank program coordinator, in a news release. Even though Covintus is located in Richmond, the company wants Hampton Roads founders to apply to the program, said spokeswoman Windy Campbell in an email.
